Cons? The portability of it is way overblown. It’s small, but still big enough to be burdensome. But does anyone want to bring an air fryer to work? The glass containers also get very hot, so you need to use caution. They could be used for storage, but they aren’t ideal.
Overall, I think it’s great, especially if (like me) you prioritize easy cleaning and space saving. Just know the portability and food storage claims are overblown.
Le reste est parfait .

Efficient Cooking: It cooks quickly and efficiently, perfect for single-serve meals or small batches.
Cons:
Limited Capacity: While great for small batches, it may not be ideal for larger families or big gatherings.
Learning Curve: Some users might find it takes a bit of time to get used to the different settings and functions.
The design is sleek and modern, fitting nicely on my kitchen counter without taking up too much space. The controls are intuitive and easy to use, making it a breeze to set the time and temperature for different dishes.
However, there are a couple of minor issues. The non-stick coating on the basket started to wear off a bit after a few uses, which was disappointing. Also, the fan can be a little noisy, especially during longer cooking sessions. Despite these drawbacks, the Ninja Crispi still delivers great results and has become a staple in my kitchen.
Overall, I recommend the Ninja Crispi for anyone looking to make delicious, crispy meals with less oil. It's a solid performer with just a few areas for improvement.
It cooks really fast and it's very easy to clean! Of course the bowl gets extremely hot so be mindful of it when taking things out!
We've made bacon (we like it extra crispy) We put it in for 5 mins then flipped the bacon. Then put in it for another 4 mins.
We also made grilled cheese Sandwiches, toast, ( for my favorite avocado toast) buffalo chicken dip (straight in the glass bowl) chicken breast, fresh veggies, mozzarella cheese sticks, pot stickers, hamburger patties, sausages... the list goes on.
The clean up is so fast and easy. I also turn the air fryer top over (when it's cooled down) and wipe it down also.
This replaced my old plastic drawer-type air fryer which started smoking and smelling like burned plastic. I've had it for years and it was time for an upgrade. I'm happy I got this Ninja Crispi.. In my opinion it works excellent!
Ya he preparado algunas cosas en el modo de Air fry y todo queda en su punto. Súper recomiendo, es fácil de limpiar y guardar.
uses it all the time
Order from Amazon for fast shipping and great customer service.
Directly from the manufacturer ( Ninja ) is extremely slow with terrible service.
was told to return the whole item that we waited a month for
My maiden voyage with the Crispi went wonderfully! I made bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs, just as I would in the Nuwave and they came out awesome! Just as good, maybe even a little better than made in the Nuwave.
The missing star is because after having eaten, washed the bowl and prepped some short ribs for tonight, the cap is still pretty warm. It's been more than a half hour. I guess we'll see what happens as I put it through its paces during my return window. An update will be made, accordingly.
Oh yeah, I'll be sure to take a picture of the short ribs and anything else that comes out as beautifully as the thighs!
As it turns out, I love it. Since I have other appliances that perform the same functions, it's not something I will be using every day. Yet the smaller size of the containers are very useful when you don't need a larger oven or other appliance for the cooking task. So, what are the pros and cons of this air fryer and would it be useful for you.
Pros:
1) It includes two glass cooking containers, 6 cup and 4 quart, that can withstand temperatures of up to 450 degrees. I have used both containers and it not find any problems with maintaining temperature in the larger container as reported by another buyer.
2) Lids for both containers are included for storing leftovers, but I doubt I will ever use the lids.
3) Both containers include crisper plates that elevate food from the bottom of the containers so that air circulates around the food for even cooking.
4) The entire unit with all of the accessories nests together, so it really doesn't take much storage space.
5) Since the containers are smaller than an oven, they heat up much more quickly and cook food faster.
6) Includes a recipe book with recipe ideas and charts for cooking a number of foods in both container sizes. Personally, I doubt I will use the recipes, but the cooking charts are very useful since this unit heats fast and maintains temperatures better than some other cooking options.
7) The glass containers and crisper plates are very easy to clean. Warm soapy water and a wash rag is usually all that is needed for thorough cleaning. In addition, these items are all dishwasher safe.
8) Super easy to use. Select a mode, recrisp, bake, air fry, or max crisp.
Cons:
1) Since the bases cannot be separated from the glass bowls, it could be difficult to clean the underside of the bowls around and above the base. So far, I have not had anything get onto the underside of the bowls, so this hasn't been a problem. I have been cleaning the bowls by hand since they are so easy to clean. Since the bowls and bases are dishwasher safe, washing in the dishwasher would resolve this problem.
2) Specific cooking temperatures cannot be chosen. Each mode has a temperature range that can't be changed. So far, this hasn't been a problem for me since I choose the mode by temperature range rather than by function. Bake has the lowest temperature range and is supposed to supply gentler heating. This mode works best for foods that you don't want to use the higher temperatures used for air frying, such as seafood.
Tonight, I reheated a large stuffed pepper that had been cut in half when it was partially thawed. In the past, I reheated these peppers cut in half in an oven and in a small casserole dish. As the peppers reheated, they sat in the juices released by the peppers and meat in the peppers. I used the 6 cup container, put the pepper halves on the crisper plate, and the juices were collected below the plate. I heated the peppers using the bake mode for 10 minutes to complete the thawing. After we ate our salads, I baked the peppers another 10 minutes to reheat them, and added BBQ sauce in the last 5 minutes. They came out wonderful. Some of the top of the meat was a bit crisped, and the BBQ sauce was well heated. Judging from this experience, I don't think I would recommend cooking a 4 lb. chicken in this cooker since it would be so close to the heating element, but a 3 lb. would work fine. It should be baked first on the back side and then turned to cook on the top side. When almost to 165 degrees, it should be air fried a few minutes to crisp the skin.
This appliance shines for so many uses, and would be perfect when cooking for 1-4 people depending on what is being cooked. My husband's cooking abilities are limited to the microwave and the toaster, and even he could use this appliance without feeling challenged.
UPDATE 12/05/24:
Tonight, I made a couple of lemon pepper chicken thighs for dinner. Since the thighs were small, I decided to use the small bowl of the Crispi to air fry them, and used a wireless probe to monitor the internal temperature of the thighs. I set the done temperature on the probe app to 165 degrees, used the air fry mode on the Crispi and set the time to 15 minutes since I wasn't sure how long it would take to cook the thighs. I started the cooking with the skin side down and turned the thighs when the internal temperature was at 100 degrees to brown and crisp the skin.
It took 13 minutes to fully cook the thighs. They were well browned and very moist. I will definitely be using the Crispi in the future for cooking foods that don't require the space of a larger oven.
I will update this review if my opinion changes. At this time, I would recommend this air fryer if you feel it would be useful for you.
I hope this review was helpful for you.
The system includes the Ninja Crispi PowerPod, two glass containers (a 4-qt and a 6-cup) with storage lids.
I was very excited to have this extra Air Fryer that will cook only gluten-free foods. I was very impressed with how crispy the chicken thighs came out, better than ones cooked in our convection oven.
The system allows you to use the same container to marinate, cook, serve and store. I was very excited because then the gluten free food is safe in my refrigerator and no cross-contamination can happen.
The plastic lids snap on for a secure fit. The smaller container’s lid is leak proof so it can be taken to work or on picnics.
Very easy to use, just place the metal crisper in the bottom of the glass bowl, place your food inside and then the PowerPad on top. Using the modes on the LED display, click on the desired cooking process. When finished, remove the POwerPod and your food is ready! The PowerPod is a little warm when we removed it, and even though they say it is safe to out on the counter, we placed it on a hot pad.
We did find that to get the best crispiness, you need to turn the meat over halfway through the cooking cycle. We also found that the smell of the cooked meat filled our kitchen and lingered for a few days. Next time, we will use the unit under our exhaust fan to see if that helps with the smell.
What I like about this appliance is that I can cook, serve, and store all in the same bowl. There are two-sized tempered glass bowls included, so whether I'm cooking just for myself or having a family gathering, I'm covered. Both glass containers come with heavy-duty, snap-on plastic lids to store leftover food. And yes, both containers and storage lids are dishwasher safe!
To cook, the Power Pod simply sits on top of the smaller glass dish; it's that simple. If I'm preparing food that requires the larger dish, I simply use the large dish attachment and place the power pod within it.
The various cooking modes and temperatures are controlled from the user-friendly control panel located on top of the power pod. This appliance can go from low heat to high heat to re-crisp, bake, air fry, and achieve maximum crispiness for your food.
Some other notable features worth mentioning are that the glass containers sit within counter-safe trays that have side handles for easy movement. Not only is this a safety feature, but it also looks lovely when serving tableside. Additionally, there's no worry about damaging your surfaces from heat. The Power Pod has been designed to be able to sit directly on your countertop while cooking due to its raised design. Also, two size-appropriate crisper plates for inside each bowl help to drain fat and grease from foods.
Finally, along with detailed instructions, a recipe section is packed with easy-to-prepare meals to help you make the most of your Ninja Crispi.
I hope that the photos and video help you out a bit with deciding what's best for your needs. Thank you!
It is easy to allow it to cook for a while, then grab the top and pull it off. The legs allow you to set it on the counter. Then stir the food and replace the top. You have to hit Start again to get it going. Time is easy to adjust with a + and - sign. On the higher cook settings you need to make sure you don't burn your food. With a little practice you will get the hang of it.
All that, and it stacks all together to take up less space in your kitchen. I love this cooker a lot more than I thought I would.
Notes:
- Didn't see any extra glassware available for this yet. Hopefully there will be.
- The parts all stack pretty well.
- Very easy to use. I had no issues getting the large and small dishes to work.
- You have to stir or shake a few times to make sure cooking is even
- Easy to add time.
- Top has built-in legs so you can take it off, set it on the counter, stir food, put it back on.
- Different cook settings let you adjust to different foods
- The glass containers come with lids so you can put food in the fridge
- The stand DOES NOT come off the glass container
- There are inserts for each container to lift the food higher and to let other food be under it
EDIT: We got it to work, but removed a star because it is not intuitive. The top (heater) is a square and both the included glass containers are also square. However, despite all of these elements seemingly fitting together in any orientation, there is only a SINGLE ORIENTATION THAT THEY WORK IN. The "Ninja" logo on the heating element must be oriented with the plastic fin on the container. Any other orientation and the heating element will not turn on. What is confusing is that the fan will run and it will not show an error in the incorrect positions, but the heating element will not turn on. The heating element will only turn on in the "correct" position. This is not obvious from the included instructions.
One other downside - the small container is very shallow and the metal shroud around the heating element will get dirty depending on the food you are heating. There is no great way to clean this shroud. It does not easily come off for cleaning and you cannot submerge this because of the adjacent heating element and electronics.
