PROTECT YOUR IDENTITY
This wallet keeps your cards close and your data even closer. The integrated RFID blocking layer fends off data skimmers.
The first had more of a cloth-elastic band and this one seems to be made of rubber. The old one loosened up a bit over the years, not enough to make it unusable, but such that if you put a lot less in the front or back (I keep cash in front and some extra cards in back) than you normally run with it gave you the feeling it could slip off under the wrong conditions. Wasn't bad per se, but it made you think about stuffing it for too long with more than what you normally intended to keep in tension with the band. Time will tell if this rubberized band will hold better but my guess is that is why they swapped it out. But my tip in general would be that after you have kinda settled on how much you generally want to carry in it, that you pay attention if you put a lot more in at any time and clean house a bit as soon as you can to not permanently stretch out the band.
My other one didn't wear out or anything but it got scratched up a bit because I am dumb and was keeping it in a pocket with other hard/sharp things and sometimes I just want it to look not so worn. But it is easy to switch out with this wallet so that makes me happy.
- It feels a lot better than regular leather wallets, my pocket doesn't feel bulky.
- You will get used to the new way to access your cards quickly.
- Fits my needs: Credit cards in the main space and for ID, driver's licenses, and other membership cards, I used the expandable backplate.
- It only holds 4 credit cards in the main space, so be careful adding more. Believe me, I tried adding a fifth card, and ALL of them got stuck. I seriously thought I was going to need to damage the new wallet to recover them. If this happens to you, use 2 plastic cards like the samples included as tweezers to retrieve one, and then pull the other ones as usual.
- It's been a couple of weeks since I got it, so I can't tell about its durability yet, although it looks good.
Overall this wallet is beautiful and comfortable. Ideal for people who do not carry cash and are annoyed with bulky pockets. Is it worth the money? It all depends on durability now.
